Canyon’s Breakfast and Lunch Program Support
Since its inception in 2010, our breakfast program has served a healthy and balanced breakfast to every student in need every day. The result of this initiative has been most significant, positively impacting student attendance, punctuality and readiness for learning. It has also increased our students' awareness of the benefits of eating a healthy breakfast. With the help of the Breakfast Clubs of Canada and community donations we have been able to serve 3 of 4 food groups daily.
The menu is varied and can include milk and juice, fresh fruit, cereal, English muffins, yogurt, applesauce, toast and cheese. Students then can come in before the bell and enjoy breakfast in the kitchen
No child should be hungry and it takes many resources coming together to provide a breakfast program. We would appreciate any support possible. You can support our breakfast program in the following ways:

Volunteer once per week to set up, serve and clean up breakfast

Assist once per week with shopping for breakfast supplies

Donate food items such as cereal, granola bars, muffins and milk

Provide a financial donation to our breakfast program for food and supplies
We are so grateful for our friends of Canyon School and our community partners who make this all possible! We see the impact of a balanced healthy breakfast and know that our students are off to a great start.
