Happy New Year! We hope you had much joy the past 2 weeks with your loved ones and that 2025 is off to a great start! It was wonderful to welcome students back this week for learning. Everyone has settled in and we're looking forward to the month ahead.
This month will end with the 12th Annual One Book, Five Schools Literacy Event. The kick-off assembly will be on Wednesday, January 29th at 2pm. Please note that families are welcome to attend any school assemblies. We look forward to seeing you there!
A reminder that our Booster Society will be meeting on Monday, January 13th at 4pm. All parents are invited to attend. Our School Council will be meeting on Wednesday, January 15th at 5pm. All parents are welcome to attend.
Canyon School is looking to start-up the basketball season this month. We are in need of coaches! If you are interested and available to coach, please contact Mrs. Ames at amesj@lrsd.ab.ca or by phoning the school at 403-627-3118. We would love to have your support! The Celebration of Basketball tournament will be hosted in Fort McLeod on Friday, March 7th. If you are unable to attend the tournament but can support weekly coaching, that is appreciated.
