We had a great week of learning and students are back into their routines. We have noticed that since returning from the break, some students seem to be much more hungry. Please check in with your child to see how their nutrition is throughout the day and perhaps consider sending an extra snack if needed. Thank you.
A reminder to please not cross the street by the bus lanes. There have been some near misses and it is particularly not safe to pass between buses. We appreciate you taking this safety precaution. Our Safety Patrol is out each day ensure safe passage across the designated crosswalk.
This week our Booster Society met to review funds, approve school requests and set up additional hot lunches. Students can look forward to the following: Feb. 4 - Hotdog Day, Mar. 6 - Chinese Food Day, Apr. 9 - Hotdog Day and May 14 - Chinese Food Day. This month will end with the 12th Annual One Book, Five Schools Literacy Event. The kick-off assembly will be on Wednesday, January 29th at 2pm. Please note that families are welcome to attend any school assemblies. We look forward to seeing you there!
Canyon School basketball will begin next week for students in Grades 4-6. Forms were sent home yesterday. Please sign and return at your earliest convenience.
