It was a great week of learning at Canyon! Classes enjoyed field trips again this week and we are fortunate students have these wonderful opportunities in our community. Students also had a chance to jump for our Jump Rope for Heart during physical education classes. As some classes were away, we will have another chance to jump on Friday, May 2nd during the recess break and are hoping for a sunny day!
Congratulations to our very own Grade 6 student, Deacon Yellow Horn. Deacon received the Honouring Spirit: Indigenous Student Award through the Alberta School Board Association (ASBA). We are proud to have him attend Canyon School since Kindergarten and for his leadership and positive contributions to our school community. To view the full article, please visit here.
Canyon's Booster Society is sponsoring a, Fill Your Freezer, fundraiser. Orders can be placed at healthyhunger.ca You can place your order under Fundraising found on May 7th. There is a share fundraiser option should friends or family be interested in purchasing bacon, burgers or sausages. The fundraiser will close on April 27th with pick up at Canyon School on May 7th from 3-6pm. Thank you for your support!
Canyon Grade 5/6 students are selling spring plants to raise funds towards year end activities. Please order by April 22nd. Orders will arrive May 7th for pickup. Thank you for your support! Click here to order online.
